Brian Mayfield
Lead Pastor // Preaching & Vision [Elder]
A native of Tennessee, Brian grew up in Texas, where he started in ministry, graduated from Dallas Baptist University & Southwestern Seminary, and met his wife Morgan. After spending 10 years in ministry in Wichita, KS, where both their children (Libby & Nathan) were born, the Mayfields felt the Lord calling them to move to Madison in March 2009. As Lead Pastor, Brian is visibly passionate about preaching the Word of God, raising up & equipping leaders, and reaching our city and the nations with the Gospel. When he’s not reading 3 books at one time, Brian loves spending time with his family, on the beach, and on the baseball field.

Reid Hopkins
Executive Pastor // Administration & Operations [Elder]
Reid was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, he was confident that God was calling him to serve the local church in full-time ministry. So, in the summer of 2007, he married his beautiful wife Sarah and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky so that he could begin his studies at Southern Seminary. In 2011, after graduating with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from the School of Theology, Reid was hired as an Associate Pastor in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he faithfully served for seven years. At the beginning of 2018, Reid was provided with the incredible opportunity to join the staff at The Brook as the new Executive Pastor where he is excited to use his gifts and passions. In his spare time, he also leads and oversees XPMinistry, a ministry that encourages and equips Executive Pastors and helps the local church be excellent with the administrative side of ministry. Reid loves to hang out with his wife and three kids, watch movies, and cheer for his favorite sports teams.

Chip Woosley
Associate Pastor // Connection & AssimilationChip is a native to Huntsville. He graduated from Auburn University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Horticulture. After graduating from Auburn and knowing God had called him into full time ministry, he attended Southern Seminary where he graduated in 2008 with a Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth. After graduation, Chip married his wife, Kelly and began serving as the youth pastor at a church in South Huntsville. In 2012, Chip felt the Lord calling him to come to The Brook to lead the Student Ministry. In May of 2018, he became The Brook’s Family Pastor, where he had the opportunity to oversee The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids, and The Brook Students. While he loved walking with families, in the Summer of 2022, the Lord opened the door for Chip to become the Associate Pastor of Connection and Assimilation. It is his desire in this role to connect people in the body of Christ, as well as use their gifts to bring God's kingdom everywhere they go. Chip loves to spend time with his wife and three kids, cheer on the Auburn Tigers, and put his landscape degree to use around the house.

Dusty Fowler
Associate Pastor // DiscipleshipDusty was born and raised in Huntsville. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. After college, he moved to Branson, Missouri, to attend a Bible college called the Kanakuk Institute. Dusty began his ministry career in 2012 as the Middle School Student Pastor at Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville. After serving at Willowbrook for 5 years, he felt called to take a position in business where he worked as a recruiter/program manager for a government contractor. However, God called him back into vocational ministry and he joined the staff at The Brook in 2019. Dusty married his wife, Morgan, in 2020, and they welcomed their first child in February 2022. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 with a Master of Theological Studies. Dusty is passionate about the local church, and specifically, helping to equip people in the gospel and to walk out the gospel in community and in service.

Jon Muccitelli
Associate Pastor // Worship & MediaJon was born in Atlanta, Georgia but was raised all over the Southeast. He attended Leavall College and Legacy Christian University before receiving a call to a local church in Huntsville, Alabama. He served faithfully there for over 10 years, where he met his wife, Katherine. They married in 2020, and in 2022, they moved to serve at a church in Florence, South Carolina. In 2023, the Lord provided an amazing opportunity for Jon to come serve as the Associate Pastor of Worship and Media at The Brook. Jon is passionate about leading his church in worship, and encouraging them to do the same with their families at home. In his free time, Jon loves reading books, playing board games, spending time with his wife, and playing disc golf.

Derek McFarland
Associate Pastor // Youth & College
Derek was born and raised in Northeast Alabama. He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2016 with degrees in History and Spanish. He married his wife, Kendall, in 2017, and they have 3 great kids together. Derek has served in a variety of churches in next generation ministries for the last 9 years and has a passion for seeing the next generation love Jesus and follow Him. Derek attends Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is studying to get his Masters in Biblical Studies. Derek enjoys attempting to play golf, watching all things sports, and sipping coffee with friends.

Sarah Garrett
Director // Preschool & Children
Sarah was born in Marietta, Georgia, into a loving Christian family. Her father's calling as a pastor led them all around the world. They resided in both Australia and The Netherlands. After graduating High School, Sarah's life took another exciting turn when she married Jimmy, who served in the Navy. As they moved with the military up and down the east coast their family grew, adding three gorgeous daughters and one amazing son. God,through the Navy, led the family of six on an adventure overseas. For the next seven years of their lives they lived in Guam, Hawaii, and Japan. Sarah actively served with the children's ministry at each church they attended. In her most recent roles, she served as Children's Ministry Director at their last two churches, ministering to the youngest members of the congregation as well as building up a team of dedicated ministry partners. During Sarah's freetime (which isn't much as a homeschooling mom) she loves to go on hikes with her husband, play board games with her kids, go to Pilates, and dream of beach days.

Becky Mooring
Office Manager
Becky is a born and bred Texan, but has enjoyed following God’s adventurous path that led her and her husband, Marcus, to Madison in 2014 and to join the staff at The Brook in 2021. A University of North Texas graduate, Becky has a passion for serving and supporting the Body of Christ and has enjoyed many opportunities to do so through children’s, youth, college, women’s, and worship ministries. She and Marcus have two amazing daughters, Carolina Hope and Cadence, who are a source of endless joy and laughter. Spending time with good friends and traveling with her Longtime Favorite, Marcus, is the way to fill up Becky’s heart.

Kathy MacKenzie
Financial Secretary
Kathy is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration and Economics. Kathy and her husband Andy and two daughters relocated to Madison in 2003 and became members of The Brook in 2004. Kathy has served in the office in various positions over the last 15 years and officially joined the staff in February of 2019.
