  • Brian Mayfield

    Lead Pastor // Preaching & Vision [Elder]

    A native of Tennessee, Brian grew up in Texas, where he started in ministry, graduated from Dallas Baptist University & Southwestern Seminary, and met his wife Morgan. After spending 10 years in ministry in Wichita, KS, where both their children (Libby & Nathan) were born, the Mayfields felt the Lord calling them to move to Madison in March 2009. As Lead Pastor, Brian is visibly passionate about preaching the Word of God, raising up & equipping leaders, and reaching our city and the nations with the Gospel. When he’s not reading 3 books at one time, Brian loves spending time with his family, on the beach, and on the baseball field.


  • Reid Hopkins

    Executive Pastor // Administration & Operations [Elder]

    Reid was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, he was confident that God was calling him to serve the local church in full-time ministry. So, in the summer of 2007, he married his beautiful wife Sarah and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky so that he could begin his studies at Southern Seminary. In 2011, after graduating with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from the School of Theology, Reid was hired as an Associate Pastor in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he faithfully served for seven years. At the beginning of 2018, Reid was provided with the incredible opportunity to join the staff at The Brook as the new Executive Pastor where he is excited to use his gifts and passions. In his spare time, he also leads and oversees XPMinistry, a ministry that encourages and equips Executive Pastors and helps the local church be excellent with the administrative side of ministry. Reid loves to hang out with his wife and three kids, watch movies, and cheer for his favorite sports teams.


  • Chip Woosley
    Associate Pastor // Connection & Assimilation

    Chip is a native to Huntsville. He graduated from Auburn University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Horticulture. After graduating from Auburn and knowing God had called him into full time ministry, he attended Southern Seminary where he graduated in 2008 with a Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth. After graduation, Chip married his wife, Kelly and began serving as the youth pastor at a church in South Huntsville. In 2012, Chip felt the Lord calling him to come to The Brook to lead the Student Ministry. In May of 2018, he became The Brook’s Family Pastor, where he had the opportunity to oversee The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids, and The Brook Students. While he loved walking with families, in the Summer of 2022, the Lord opened the door for Chip to become the Associate Pastor of Connection and Assimilation. It is his desire in this role to connect people in the body of Christ, as well as use their gifts to bring God's kingdom everywhere they go. Chip loves to spend time with his wife and three kids, cheer on the Auburn Tigers, and put his landscape degree to use around the house.


  • Dusty Fowler
    Associate Pastor // Discipleship & Families

    Dusty was born and raised in Huntsville. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. After college, he moved to Branson, Missouri, to attend a Bible college called the Kanakuk Institute. Dusty began his ministry career in 2012 as the Middle School Student Pastor at Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville. After serving at Willowbrook for 5 years, he felt called to take a position in business where he worked as a recruiter/program manager for a government contractor. However, God called him back into vocational ministry and he joined the staff at The Brook in 2019. Dusty married his wife, Morgan, in 2020, and they welcomed their first child in February 2022. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 with a Master of Theological Studies. Dusty is passionate about the local church, and specifically, helping to equip people in the gospel and to walk out the gospel in community and in service. 


  • Jon Muccitelli
    Associate Pastor // Worship & Media

    Jon was born in Atlanta, Georgia but was raised all over the Southeast.  He attended Leavall College and Legacy Christian University before receiving a call to a local church in Huntsville, Alabama.  He served faithfully there for over 10 years, where he met his wife, Katherine.  They married in 2020, and in 2022, they moved to serve at a church in Florence, South Carolina.  In 2023, the Lord provided an amazing opportunity for Jon to come serve as the Associate Pastor of Worship and Media at The Brook.  Jon is passionate about leading his church in worship, and encouraging them to do the same with their families at home.  In his free time, Jon loves reading books, playing board games, spending time with his wife, and playing disc golf.


  • Justin Steiner

    Director // Youth & College

    Justin was born in Florida but raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In high school he felt the Lord calling him to ministry. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he worked with several student ministries and college ministries. Justin and his wife Katie got married in late 2020, and soon after he followed God’s call to join the staff of The Brook as the new Pastoral Ministry Intern. In 2022, Justin was given the opportunity to become the new Youth & College Ministries Director. Justin likes hiking, spending time with his wife, watching his favorite teams, and is incredibly excited to lead the Youth & College Ministries at The Brook.


  • Elizabeth Williams

    Director // Preschool & Children

    Elizabeth is a native of Alabama. She met her husband Josh in Auburn and they have three beautiful daughters... Bella, Selah, and Emerson (Emmy). Josh's career moved them to Madison in 2018. The Brook was the first and last church they visited because they immediately knew The Brook was their home. Since joining, she has served in various ways. She is passionate about partnering with parents to raise up the next generation of disciples. She is excited to join the staff as the Preschool and Childrens Director. In her spare time she loves listening to a good podcast, crafting, and hanging out with her family and friends. 


  • Hayley Whetstone

    Family Ministry Assistant

    Hayley was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. She graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nonprofit Leadership Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2021, she married her husband, Tyler, and his career moved them to Huntsville. Shortly thereafter, they knew the Lord was leading them to join The Brook as their new home church. Hayley is passionate about serving, giving gifts, and fostering community. She enjoys reading, spoiling her cat (Dean), and crafts of all kinds.


  • Becky Mooring

    Office Manager

    Becky is a born and bred Texan, but has enjoyed following God’s adventurous path that led her and her husband, Marcus, to Madison in 2014 and to join the staff at The Brook in 2021. A University of North Texas graduate, Becky has a passion for serving and supporting the Body of Christ and has enjoyed many opportunities to do so through children’s, youth, college, women’s, and worship ministries. She and Marcus have two amazing daughters, Carolina Hope and Cadence, who are a source of endless joy and laughter. Spending time with good friends and traveling with her Longtime Favorite, Marcus, is the way to fill up Becky’s heart. 


  • Kathy MacKenzie

    Financial Secretary

    Kathy is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration and Economics.  Kathy and her husband Andy and two daughters relocated to Madison in 2003 and became members of The Brook in 2004. Kathy has served in the office in various positions over the last 15 years and officially joined the staff in February of 2019. 



  • Dan Brooks

    Dan is a native of Pensacola, FL. He met his wife, Ellen, at Auburn University and they served together in the Philippines with Wycliffe Bible Translators for three years. In 2008, they moved to Madison and joined The Brook. Along with co-leading a Community Group, they have also served in The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids and The Brook Students ministries. They have two awesome boys, and together, they all love traveling and experiencing new things as a family. Dan works at Tektonux as a UX Software Developer, and Ellen homeschools their boys.


  • Bill Klein

    Bill is originally from Seattle, Washington, but has lived in the South for most of his life. He graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Math and Computer Science. Bill and his awesome wife, Cathy, have three children and nine grandchildren, who all live close by. Needless to say, many weekends are filled with little visitors at the Klein home! Bill’s passion lies in spiritual growth. His desire is for followers of Jesus in general, but men in particular, to grow in grace, and in their knowledge of and love for the Savior. Besides their activities at The Brook, Bill and Cathy provide music two nights a week at a recovery ministry in Decatur. And when he’s not chasing grandkids, Bill spends his free time reading, landscaping, and cooking.


  • David Walker

    David is a native of Missouri. While finishing up his masters degree in Aerospace Engineering he met his wife, Blair, at her best friend's wedding. They moved to Huntsville in 2007 and joined The Brook. From 2012 to 2016 they helped plant Courageous Church in Huntsville. David is on the worship team at The Brook as one of the church drummers, and he and his wife also serve as Community Group hosts/leaders. They have been blessed with a son and daughter. David works as a NASA contractor and Blair homeschools their children.
