  • Brian Mayfield

    Lead Pastor & Elder

    A native of Tennessee, Brian grew up in Texas, where he started in ministry, graduated from Dallas Baptist University & Southwestern Seminary, and met his wife Morgan. After spending 10 years in ministry in Wichita, KS, where both their children (Libby & Nathan) were born, the Mayfields felt the Lord calling them to move to Madison in March 2009. As Lead Pastor for over 10 years now, Brian is visibly passionate about preaching the Word of God, raising up & equipping leaders, and reaching our city and the nations with the Gospel. When he’s not reading 3 books at one time, Brian loves spending time with his family, on the beach and on the baseball field.


  • Reid Hopkins

    Executive Pastor & Elder

    Reid was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, he knew that God had given him a desire to serve the local church in full-time ministry. So, in the summer of 2007, he married his beautiful wife Sarah and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky so that he could begin his studies at Southern Seminary. In 2011, after graduating with a Master of Divinity, Reid was hired as an Associate Pastor in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he faithfully served for seven years. At the beginning of 2018, Reid was provided with the incredible opportunity to join the staff at The Brook as the new Executive Pastor where he is excited to use his gifts and passions. In his spare time, he also oversees xpministry.com, a ministry that encourages and equips Executive Pastors. Reid loves to hang out with his wife and three kids, watch movies, and cheer for his favorite sports teams.


  • Dusty Fowler
    Connection Pastor

    Dusty was born and raised in Huntsville. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a BA in Public Relations. After college, he moved to Branson, Missouri, to attend a Bible college called the Kanakuk Institute. Dusty began his ministry career in 2012 as the Middle School Student Pastor at Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville. After serving at Willowbrook for 5 years, he felt called to take a position in business where he has been working for a government contractor. Dusty is passionate about the local church, and specifically, helping to equip people in the gospel and to walk out the gospel in community and in service. He joined the staff at The Brook in 2019.


  • Chip Woosley
    Family Pastor

    Chip came to The Brook in 2012 to lead our Student Ministry. In May of 2018, he became our Family Pastor, where he has the opportunity to oversee The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids, and The Brook Students. He graduated Auburn in 2004 with a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture, but sensing God’s call into the ministry, he attended Southern Seminary where he graduated in 2008 with a Master of Divinity. He has been married to the love of his life, Kelly, since 2008, and they have three children. Chip desires to see children and students put their faith in Christ, and also to equip and walk alongside their parents.


  • Lee Deutschendorf

    Worship, Communictions, & Media Director

    Lee was born and raised in Huntsville, making the move to Madison in 2011. He has led worship locally for over 15 years, at churches, camps, and retreats. He and his wife, Britney, joined The Brook in the fall of 2014, and Lee came on staff as Worship Leader in the spring of 2016. He has two beautiful daughters, Carson and Logan, who are sure to cause him trouble when they reach dating age. Lee loves to read, and one of his lifelong goals is to read 52 books each year. He is also an avid runner, with a grand total of two 5k races to his credit. He enjoys taking trips with his family, especially to Orange Beach, SunTrust Park, and the Tennessee Aquarium.


  • Corinne Van Ryckeghem

    Local Missions & Outreach Director

    Corinne graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Spanish. By this time, in 2015, she already felt a calling to ministry/missions. She decided to further her education to support these career goals. She earned a Master's degree in Teaching ESL, and then moved to Arlington, Texas, where she completed a second Master's degree in Linguistics. She loves teaching, connecting with people, and serving others. Corinne joined The Brook team in 2021 and is excited to use her skills and passions to advance The Lord's Kingdom by building relationships with others. She loves spending time with her husband, Dane, and also enjoys painting, reading and writing.


  • Becky Mooring

    Office Manager

    Becky is a born and bred Texan, but has enjoyed following God’s adventurous path that led her and her husband, Marcus, to Madison in 2014 and to join the staff at The Brook in 2021. A University of North Texas graduate, Becky has a passion for serving and supporting the Body of Christ and has enjoyed many opportunities to do so through children’s, youth, college, women’s, and worship ministries. She and Marcus have two amazing daughters, Carolina Hope and Cadence, who are a source of endless joy and laughter. Spending time with good friends and traveling with her Longtime Favorite, Marcus, is the way to fill up Becky’s heart. 


  • Kathy MacKenzie

    Financial Secretary

    Kathy is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration and Economics.  Kathy and her husband Andy and two daughters relocated to Madison in 2003 and became members of The Brook in 2004. Kathy has served in the office in various positions over the last 15 years and officially joined the staff in February of 2019. 


  • Justin Steiner

    Pastoral Ministry Intern

    Justin was born in Florida but raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In high school he felt the Lord calling him to ministry. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he worked with several student ministries and college ministries. Justin and his wife Katie got married in late 2020, and soon after he followed God’s call to join the staff of The Brook as the new Pastoral Ministry Intern. Justin likes hiking, spending time with his wife, and watching his favorite teams.


  • Alex Jones

    Facilities Manager

    Alex was born and raised in Tennessee. In 2018, he moved to Huntsville so that he could begin his studies at UAH where he plans to major in Supply Chain Management. As a student at UAH, he also serves as a Student Coach for the men's basketball team. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and eating great food.



  • Dan Brooks

    Dan is a native of Pensacola, FL. He met his wife, Ellen, at Auburn University and they served together in the Philippines with Wycliffe Bible Translators for three years. In 2008, they moved to Madison and joined The Brook. Along with co-leading a Missional Community, they have also served in The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids and The Brook Students ministries. They have two awesome boys, and together, they all love traveling and experiencing new things as a family. Dan works at Trideum as a UX Software Developer, and Ellen homeschools their boys.


  • Bill Klein

    Bill is a native of Seattle, Washington, but has lived in the South for most of his life. He graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Math and Computer Science. Bill and his awesome wife, Cathy, have three children and eight grandchildren, who all live close by. Needless to say, many weekends are filled with little visitors at the Klein home! Bill’s passion lies in spiritual growth. His desire is for followers of Jesus in general, but men in particular, to grow in grace, and in their knowledge of and love for the Savior. Besides their activities at The Brook, Bill and Cathy provide music two nights a week at a recovery ministry in Decatur. And when he’s not chasing grandkids, Bill spends his free time reading, landscaping, cooking, and riding his Harley.


  • David Walker

    David is a native of Missouri. While finishing up his masters degree in Aerospace Engineering he met his wife, Blair, at her best friend's wedding. They moved to Huntsville in 2007 and joined The Brook. From 2012 to 2016 they helped plant Courageous Church in Huntsville. David is on the worship team at The Brook as one of the church drummers, and he and his wife also serve as Missional Community hosts/leaders. They have been blessed with a son and daughter. David works as a NASA contractor and Blair homeschools their children.
