Brian Mayfield
Lead Pastor // Preaching & Vision [Elder]
A native of Tennessee, Brian grew up in Texas, where he started in ministry, graduated from Dallas Baptist University & Southwestern Seminary, and met his wife Morgan. After spending 10 years in ministry in Wichita, KS, where both their children (Libby & Nathan) were born, the Mayfields felt the Lord calling them to move to Madison in March 2009. As Lead Pastor for over 10 years now, Brian is visibly passionate about preaching the Word of God, raising up & equipping leaders, and reaching our city and the nations with the Gospel. When he’s not reading 3 books at one time, Brian loves spending time with his family, on the beach and on the baseball field.

Reid Hopkins
Executive Pastor // Administration & Operations [Elder]
Reid was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, he was confident that God was calling him to serve the local church in full-time ministry. So, in the summer of 2007, he married his beautiful wife Sarah and they moved to Louisville, Kentucky so that he could begin his studies at Southern Seminary. In 2011, after graduating with a Master of Divinity in Christian Ministry from the School of Theology, Reid was hired as an Associate Pastor in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where he faithfully served for seven years. At the beginning of 2018, Reid was provided with the incredible opportunity to join the staff at The Brook as the new Executive Pastor where he is excited to use his gifts and passions. In his spare time, he also leads and oversees xpministry.com, a ministry that helps local churches be excellent with the administrative side of ministry. Reid loves to hang out with his wife and three kids, watch movies, and cheer for his favorite sports teams.

Chip Woosley
Associate Pastor // Connection & AssimilationChip is a native to Huntsville. He graduated from Auburn University in 2004 with a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture. After graduating from Auburn and knowing God had called him into full time ministry, he attended Southern Seminary where he graduated in 2008 with a Master of Divinity in Missions, Evangelism, and Church Growth. After graduation, Chip married his wife, Kelly and began serving as the youth pastor at a church in South Huntsville. In 2012, Chip felt the Lord calling him to come to The Brook to lead the Student Ministry. In May of 2018, he became The Brook’s Family Pastor, where he had the opportunity to oversee The Brook Littles, The Brook Kids, and The Brook Students. While he loved walking with families, in the Summer of 2022, the Lord opened the door for Chip to become the Associate Pastor of Connection and Assimilation. It is his desire in this role to connect people in the body of Christ, as well as use their gifts to bring God's kingdom everywhere they go. Chip loves to spend time with his wife and three kids, cheer on the Auburn Tigers, and put his landscape degree to use around the house.

Dusty Fowler
Associate Pastor // Discipleship & FamiliesDusty was born and raised in Huntsville. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008 with a BA in Public Relations. After college, he moved to Branson, Missouri, to attend a Bible college called the Kanakuk Institute. Dusty began his ministry career in 2012 as the Middle School Student Pastor at Willowbrook Baptist Church in Huntsville. After serving at Willowbrook for 5 years, he felt called to take a position in business where he worked as a recruiter/program manager for a government contractor. Dusty married his wife, Morgan, in 2020, and they welcomed their first child in February 2022. He also graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2022 with a Master of Theological Studies. Dusty is passionate about the local church, and specifically, helping to equip people in the gospel and to walk out the gospel in community and in service. He joined the staff at The Brook in 2019.

Justin Steiner
Director // Youth & College
Justin was born in Florida but raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. In high school he felt the Lord calling him to ministry. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he worked with several student ministries and college ministries. Justin and his wife Katie got married in late 2020, and soon after he followed God’s call to join the staff of The Brook as the new Pastoral Ministry Intern. In 2022, Justin was given the opportunity to become the new Youth & College Ministries Director. Justin likes hiking, spending time with his wife, watching his favorite teams, and is incredibly excited to lead the Youth & College Ministries at The Brook.

Elizabeth Williams
Director // Preschool & Children
Elizabeth is a native of Alabama. She met her husband Josh in Auburn and they have three beautiful daughters... Bella, Selah, and Emerson (Emmy). Josh's career moved them to Madison in 2018. The Brook was the first and last church they visited because they immediately knew The Brook was their home. Since joining, she has served in various ways. She is passionate about partnering with parents to raise up the next generation of disciples. She is excited to join the staff as the Preschool and Childrens Director. In her spare time she loves listening to a good podcast, crafting, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Hayley Whetstone
Family Ministry Assistant
Hayley was born and raised in Paducah, Kentucky. She graduated from Murray State University with a B.S. in Nonprofit Leadership Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2021, she married her husband, Tyler, and his career moved them to Huntsville. Shortly thereafter, they knew the Lord was leading them to join The Brook as their new home church. Hayley is passionate about serving, giving gifts, and fostering community. She enjoys reading, spoiling her cat (Dean), and crafts of all kinds.

Becky Mooring
Office Manager
Becky is a born and bred Texan, but has enjoyed following God’s adventurous path that led her and her husband, Marcus, to Madison in 2014 and to join the staff at The Brook in 2021. A University of North Texas graduate, Becky has a passion for serving and supporting the Body of Christ and has enjoyed many opportunities to do so through children’s, youth, college, women’s, and worship ministries. She and Marcus have two amazing daughters, Carolina Hope and Cadence, who are a source of endless joy and laughter. Spending time with good friends and traveling with her Longtime Favorite, Marcus, is the way to fill up Becky’s heart.

Kathy MacKenzie
Financial Secretary
Kathy is a graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Business Administration and Economics. Kathy and her husband Andy and two daughters relocated to Madison in 2003 and became members of The Brook in 2004. Kathy has served in the office in various positions over the last 15 years and officially joined the staff in February of 2019.
