Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups are central to the mission of The Brook to live intentionally to bring God’s kingdom everywhere we go. They serve as one of the primary methods of being equipped as a disciple of Christ and they are central to walking in gospel-centered community. There are two types of groups at The Brook, Community Groups and Grow Groups.

Community Groups

A Community Group is a family of servant missionaries sent to make disciples that make disciples in everyday life. In order to accomplish the mission of making disciples, Community Groups create an environment where life-on-life, life-in-community, and life-on-mission can occur.

These groups consist of 8-15 people that meet regularly in homes throughout our city. You can find a list of our Community Groups and reach out to the respective group leader by clicking below. If you’d like a personal group recommendation, you can reach out to Dusty Fowler, at dusty@thebrookchurch.com

Grow Groups

As disciples of Jesus, we want to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18) and to be “transformed by the renewing of [our] minds” (Romans 12:2). Discipleship happens in gospel community and a Grow Group can be a key catalyst for this growth and transformation.

A Grow Group consists of 3-4 people - men with men, women with women - who meet together regularly in order to care deeply for one another and to foster growth as disciples of Jesus. Such growth is fostered by helping one another discover Jesus in the Scriptures, nurture the truths of the gospel in our hearts, and faithfully act on what the Spirit calls us to do. Our hope is that these groups enable us to grow as disciples in community as we learn to apply the gospel to every part of our lives.
